Elizabeth Gilbert: A different way to think about creative genius

a 2009 TEDTalk. She is right on except one rather crucial point. The muse of whom she speaks is indeed our Lord who is the author of all creative genius. Óle!

"Creating a safe distance." I think this is a core part of helping us teach kids about creativity. Creativity often involves an amount of failure. If we continue to have major hang-ups about failure, then students will never take the risk of creative endeavors. Who you are is not what you do. What a great constant reminder that we are forgiven saints in the eyes of God. So feel free to create and sometimes fail, because your standing with God iis still secure :-) Thanks for the video Lisa!
