Hey there Josh, You can use Spiceworks as I have used an earlier version of this at another school I taught at. However, we are currently using a program called SysAid - http://www.ilient.com/ that is quite good too! Kind Regards, Tim

1 gig ram... Atom N270 processors... we are going to use open office/google docs on ours as well... I hope to roll out Google Apps to students sometime later this year... we'll see about that one...

Hey there Josh, I guess it comes down to what you want. We use Smartboards in the majority of our classrooms at school. Which we find easy and relatively intuitive to use. However, it does have alot of functions and extras that alot of the teachers…

Rob, We are looking at our options, but one would be to use the netbook and use google apps online for our applications and store any valuable work on our own servers via wireless network or on student usb drives.

With your work in Technology Integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
