About Me:
I am the school librarian/computer instructor for grades K-5 at Salem in Black Jack. I'm a lifelong member of Salem going all the way back to my great-great grandparents. I'm a widowed mother of two beautiful daughters (ages 14 & 11) who both attend Salem. (Morgan, my oldest, will be graduating this year! Yikes, where does the time go?) I'm very active at our school as a parent as well. Am I the only one who wonders why I have a mortgage when I live at school and they have all the amenities of home? :) My hobbies are pretty much wrapped around the children's. I have personally mastered, however, the fine art of getting the mini-van to go as quickly as possible from activity to activity while sometimes being in 2 places at once! I think that about sums me up or at least I can't think of anything else....
School
I work at Salem but was a public school child. Hazelwood Central Class of 1984.

NetSmartz News

Just as an FYI...I am a subscriber to NetSmartz News. NetSmartz Organization is supported by, just to name a couple, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the Boys & Girls Clubs. They've started an e-newsletter and I thought you all might want to subscribe to it as well. http://newsletter.netsmartz.org

This month's topic is cyberbullying and it's impact on today's youth. I plan on going over this with my students in Grades 2-8 as we approach the end of the scho… Continue

Doodle 4 Google

Hey everybody, Google is holding a competition for all students in U.S. schools from K-12. The brackets are grades K-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12. How exciting would it be for one of our students to be a winner! I urge you to check it out and register your school! www.google.com/doodle4google.

God's continued blessings on your ministry!

Hi, Julie: I did my student teaching at Salem. I student taught in the SPED classroom.

If you want to do a VERY simple webpage, http://schoolnotes.com is very basic and walks you through everything. Best of all, it's free! :)

Hey Rob! Great job on this Technology site. I will add a photo later. The only photo I have of me on my school computer is of me dressed as the Cat in the Hat (with Things 1 and 2). Not my usual attire on a normal school day but it was the Cat in the Hat's 50th birthday this year. Looking forward to browsing through here and all future schtuff. God's blessings on your newest technology endeavor! In Christ, Julie Meyer
