I teach educational technology in the College of Education at Concordia University - Portland. I have two grown sons (one working at Google) and live with my cat Max and husband Bill.
Good to see so much going on with Technology in Lutheran schools. Where do you post your blogs, local or on a service. Sounds like the students are having a lot of fun with it and having a great Web 2.0 experience

I use instructional blogging with my courses and each of my students create and maintain their own blogs. They learn how integrate RSS feeds and add resources to their blogs along with the posting of all assignments.

Lynne: What are some things your students are taught in regards to integrating technology? My son attended a state university and he really did not learn anything more than what he learned in high school.
Mike, the universities each create their own curricular decisions. In my case, I have created the undergrad and graduate ed tech curriculum for the College of Ed at my location. I would be happy to communicate with my peers from other Concordia Universities -- I just don't know anyone.

Do you communicate with other Lutheran colleges about preparing students for integrating technology into the curriculum. When we get student teavhers here at Lutheran High School North their preparation is really a mixed bag.
Hi Karen! Yes, I work to increase teachers' understandings about the appropriate uses of technology in the learning environments they create for their students. I also immerse them in the tools, methods, and culture of the Read/Write Web.
Welcome, Lynne. Can't wait to hear what kinds of things you are teaching out there in Oregon. By educational technology, does that mean that you teach the teachers what to teach about technology?
