Technology in Lutheran Schools

Technology in Lutheran Schools

My Executive Director is interested in updating our technology plan and, since the current plan is getting close to a decade old, I'm thinking a complete rewrite is probably in order.

He asked me to look into what other Lutheran Schools have in place, so if you have a technology plan, and wouldn't mind sharing it, we would love to see it.

If you know of any repository of technology plans, that would be helpful too. And if you have any advice to offer, I'm all ears.

We have our computer curriculum posted on our Moodle site. Go to > www.stpaulgiants.com/moodle and click on the Computer Lab course. There you will see our course outlines.

It's absolutely necessary to have a AUP for both Moodle and your school. Our next goal is to vamp up video creation to match our web design and incorporate them more fully into our curriculum instead of a few times a year. We'd like to have a daily or weekly newscast with video.

The National Center for Technology Planning has a collection of tech plans and lots of helpful resources. I attended a session given by their director, Dr. Anderson, on the topic at NECC several years ago and it was outstanding.
